Our program has an annual tradition of enjoying White Sox Game + Tailgate. Every resident, core faculty member, IM residency staff member and their families have the opportunity to come hang out and spend some time with each other away from the hospital.
In addition to getting oriented to the hospital, this year our new interns spent time becoming oriented to the surrounding South Side Community. During orientation, they participated in community service activities that included gardening with the Urban Growers Collective, beautification with Southside Cleanup or service through Chicago Street Medicine.
